Upcoming: New exhibition about border politics, March 4–April 16
On March 4, CAMP invites the public to the opening of its new exhibition The Dividing Line: Film and Performance About Border Control and Border Crossing.
One European government after another is tightening border controls and asylum rules to restrict the influx of refugees and migrants, making Europe the world’s most dangerous migration route and the Mediterranean the world’s most dangerous border crossing at the moment, according to IOM (International Organization for Migration).
CAMP wants with The Dividing Line to provide a lens through which to better understand the complex relations between migration and border politics. The exhibition invites 6 transnational artists, filmmakers, and activist groups to present film, video, and live performance work that bring different perspectives to the current situation.
The participants are: Castaway souls of Sjælsmark/Denmark (transnational), Chen Chieh-jen (Taiwan), David Fedele (Australia), George Kurian (India / Turkey), Welcome to Europe (transnational).
All are welcome to join the opening events on March 4 from 5–11 pm!

Denmark’s most respected museum of modern art, Louisiana, has acquired Tiffany Chung’s Syria-installation finding one’s shadow in ruins and rubble, which was on display in CAMP in Fall 2015. The artist has generously donated half of the sales income to CAMP, a big-hearted and welcomed helping hand at a time when CAMP is facing closure. Read more...
Closed for the holidays – but help CAMP survive by donating!
CAMP is closed for the Christmas holidays. We re-open March 3, 2016 with the new group exhibition Borderscapes: Artistic examinations of border controlling and border crossing. However, Borderscapes might become CAMP’s last exhibition if we don’t get additional funding very soon. With the new Danish government in place, funding possibilities for spaces like CAMP have diminished drastically and our existence is in great danger. Please help us survive by supporting our crowdfunding, or give your friend a CAMP donation for Xmas! Read more...
