CAMP launches new school initiative
CAMP / Center for Art on Migration Politics is proud to present our most recent initiative: Migration Politics & Art. We invite teachers, educators, and students (from 8th, 9th, 10th grade, high school, technical colleges and other youth educational institutions) to experience the well-received group exhibition Decolonizing Appearance.
As part of the initiative, we have been handing out educational material to some of the educational institutions in the Municipality of Copenhagen. It's an unique opportunity for students and teachers alike to make migration and art, part of the curriculum.
You can read more about the offer here.
CAMP founders give artistic and curatorial talk in Gothenburg
The world is currently witnessing an unprecedented wave of mass migration, with nearly 60 million people being displaced from their homes because of war or persecution, and an even higher number migrating from poverty and climate change.
In their talk at PARSE Dialogues on Art and Migration, the Danish curatorial collective, Kuratorisk Aktion (Frederikke Hansen and Tone Olaf Nielsen), will introduce two self-organized institutions in Copenhagen that are trying to respond artistically and curatorially to the political neglect to come up with sustainable responses to the challenges of displacement and migration.
