Join us for the opening party of CAMP’s new focus! exhibition Threshold(s) and hear guest curator Temi Odumosu talk about her ideas behind the exhibition.
Showcasing some of Scandinavia’s most exciting artists, thinkers, and activists — Pia Arke, Michelle Eistrup, Yong Sun Gullach, Luanda Carneiro Jacoel, and Saba Bereket Persson — the exhibition explores experiences of displacement and exile by considering how people and their memories ‘crossover’ and then inhabit land, culture, identities, structures, and even language.
The exhibition engages with current immigration tensions and structural practices, but with a particular focus on the ‘inbetweenness’ of movement as a state of being, which produces critical knowledge.
It invites audiences to reflect on what is happening at the thresholds of migration experiences. And asks, where is the place of belonging? When and how will things change?
